Most serious injuries for a jockey come from falls off a horse, however Irish-born jump jockey Bryan Carver added to his own lengthy list of injury woes when suffering a traumatic skiing accident in France in 2022. Thankfully everything was okay after being airlifted to hospital, and his career in the saddle has taken off since thanks to the support of Harry Fry, former pupil assistant to Paul Nicholls where Carver himself rode as a conditional jockey. Indeed, Carver is on course to ride the most winners in a single season of his career so far.
