Son of trainer Chris, Freddie Gordon was more interested in football than horses growing up, but the young conditional jockey is now scoring on the track having learnt his craft in the point-to-point scene. Though his biggest wins have come for his father – including a win at Cheltenham on his 18th birthday – Gordon’s best chance of ITV winners is likely to come for his boss Nicky Henderson. Channeling his inner Sol Campbell, Gordon joined from the Ditcheat yard of Paul Nicholls in 2023, switching from amateur to conditional rider at the same time.
