Having grown up on a dairy farm, Harry Cobden was always likely to be the cream that rose to the top thanks to a good grounding on the pony circuit and strong backing from perennial champion trainer Paul Nicholls. Cobden continued in the same vein when guiding Kilbricken Storm to win the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle for fellow farmer Colin Tizzard, and hasn’t looked back since that first Cheltenham Festival winner in 2018. He’s now nearing 1000 wins in the saddle and, as stable jockey for Nicholls, was crowned Champion Jump Jockey in 2023/24.
Biggest win this season: Kandoo Kid in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury
