Michael Nolan has put the hard work into his career, the Irishman having first ridden in Britain in 2010 and suffered a number of serious injuries since, most notably when breaking his back and ribs in a horror fall at Southwell in June 2021. Nolan has been rewarded for his persistence, however, picking up the stable jockey role for Philip Hobbs and Johnson White’s Sandhill Stables in 2023. Since then, Nolan has enjoyed more winners, an improved strike-rate, and several high-profile successes on ITV Racing.
