After spells with Neil Mulholland and David Pipe, Rex Dingle’s big breakthrough came in 2020 as a conditional jockey with Anthony Honeyball on a horse trained by Paul Webber. Coincidentally, it was in the Cheltenham Festival race named after David Pipe’s father – the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – as Indefatigable stormed home up the hill to collar Pileon in the very last stride. This season has been a little underwhelming so far, but his excellent partnership with ITV regular Dashel Drasher should yield further success before the term is out.
Biggest win this season: Tightenourbelts in the Tanners Claret Handicap Chase at Ludlow
