Son of trainer Peter Bowen, Sean won the Wilkinson Sword title for his achievements in the point-to-point field before he could even shave; a feat his brother James went on to also achieve. Sean continued to excel at a young age, becoming the youngest ever Champion Conditional Jockey when he won the title on the final day of his first season as a professional in 2015. He has since developed into one of the leading riders, the Welshman only losing out by seven wins to Harry Cobden in last season’s race to be Champion Jockey, and currently leads the overall standings this term.
